Polling stations, districts and boundaries

Finding your polling station

Shortly before an election, you will be sent a poll card which contains the address of your polling station.

Polling stations may change depending on the election. In the run-up to an election, you can also find details of your polling station by using Democracy Club’s polling station finder.

Information about polling districts and polling places can be found through the Council's Where I Live service. Search for an address in the district and you will be provided with information about the relevant polling district, polling station and elected representatives. Alternatively, use the Council's District mapping service for an interactive map which can be used to view electoral boundaries.

Parliamentary Boundary Review 2023 Toggle accordion

The Boundary Commission for England (BCE) is required by Parliament to undertake an independent and impartial review of all constituencies in England, to rebalance the number of electors in each constituency.

A secondary consultation on the BCE's initial proposals for new constituencies took place from 22 February to 4 April 2022 and included 32 public hearings across the country.

A third and final round of public consultation on revised constituency proposals ran between 8 November and 5 December 2022.

The BCE have now concluded the 2023 review and submitted their final report and recommendations to Parliament. The Government will draft an Order containing the recommendations of all four Parliamentary Boundary Commissions: once that draft Order is approved by the Privy Council, the new constituencies will be used for the next General election following that date (for any by-election that may take place beforehand, existing constituencies are used).

Further information can be found on the BCE's 2023 Review webpage.
