Have your say on North St Albans Masterplan

Publication date:

St Albans City and District Council is working with the landowners and land promoters of a key site in the north of the city to develop a Masterplan for the delivery of an exceptional new neighbourhood and are holding an event to share their emerging ideas Saturday 1st February, Christ Church, 2 High Oaks, St Albans, AL3 3DJ, from 10am – 1.30pm.

The North St Albans Masterplan is being developed in accordance with the aims and aspirations of the draft Local Plan. It is one of 11 “Broad Locations” identified in the plan and will deliver much-needed new homes for the district. It will provide high-quality infrastructure and a range of  homes including affordable housing, alongside exceptional green spaces and supporting services.

Following a series of activities in the Autumn the Council continues to seek the help of local residents, businesses and other stakeholders to develop the vision for this new community. Initial feedback on the proposals has been collected and has identified local priorities and ideas for this site. The Council, landowners and promoters now want to share their emerging ideas.

At this event you will be able to find out how the information gathered so far has shaped the developing proposals. You will also be able to provide further feedback to the team as their designs continues to evolve.

Residents can also see all the work presented at this event and have their say online at: www.northstalbans.co.uk.

This feedback will help to shape a new North St Albans Masterplan – which will help guide future development on this site.
