Businesses to be surveyed for Covid-19 recovery plan

Publication date:

Businesses in St Albans District are asked to take part in a survey about the impact of the Covid-19 emergency.

St Albans City and District Council is conducting the research to see what kind of support businesses will need to survive the crisis.

The Council’s Cabinet has set up a cross-party Recovery Task and Finish Group that will consider all feedback before deciding what actions should be taken.

It may, for example, recommend that the Council should lobby the Government on particular issues of concern or direct businesses to services that may already be available.

The survey, which runs until Tuesday 9 June, only takes around 15 minutes to complete and is available here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/SADCBusinessRecovery.

All responses will be treated with the strictest of confidence.

Councillor Karen Young, Portfolio Holder for Resources and Chair of the Recovery Task and Finish Group, said:

Businesses need all the help they can get to stay afloat during this public health crisis.

We are committed to supporting them in every way we can so that local jobs and our general prosperity is protected as much as possible.

This survey will provide us with vital information about the current challenges faced by our business community and shape our response to their needs.

I urge all local businesses to take part so we can have a better understanding of the help that they require.

The Recovery Task and Finish Group will also be looking at a later date at the actions we can take to help community groups as well as residents, including the most vulnerable.
