Debt support
If you are in debt, do not ignore it.
Talk to the person or business to whom you owe the money and explain your circumstances. Very often they will want to help you sort out the problem, usually by giving you more time to pay or agreeing a payment schedule. Suppliers of gas, electricity and water have an obligation to respond reasonably in these circumstances and they must take account of any children or elderly people living with you.
