All Ages Together
Connecting Our Communities to Banish Loneliness and Isolation
Our vision is an age-friendly St Albans City and District that cherishes social inclusion, accessibility, connection and enriches lives.
Welcome to the new website for the All Ages Together Mayoral Theme 2023-2024. This year the Mayor, Mayoress and Deputy Mayor are focussing on promoting and supporting intergenerational activities and events that are taking place in the St Albans City and District.
The need to address social exclusion and loneliness is high. Both the pandemic and the cost of living crisis has caused elevated levels of loneliness and social isolation. As a result, we have decided to focus on this broad theme. We hope to find new ways to strengthen our community and to ensure that the marginalised are included. In doing this, we hope to support organisations who are currently doing this kind of work, as well as those who are interested in getting involved in inter-generational activities.
We also want to hear from you if and when you host an inter-generational event! We believe in the positive effects of these events and want to be able to promote them. For further information, watch this space!
