Mayor’s Christmas card designed by primary school pupils
St Albans Mayor, Councillor Anthony Rowlands, had his official Christmas greetings card designed by two talented primary school pupils.
Year five schoolchildren Sophie and Rose, aged nine, of Skyswood School in Marshalswick, drew the card which features a smiling snowman surrounded by three generations - a child, parent and grandparent.
Their design will now be seen by people across Hertfordshire and beyond.
The Mayor said:
I am very grateful to Rose and Sophie for creating our Christmas card design, illustrating the Mayoral intergenerational theme of All Ages Together.
We will be sending the card electronically to all the organisations who have been helping us promote our theme as a small way of thanking them for their work in the community.
Skyswood Head Teacher Bob Bridle said:
The theme of All Ages Together has really been embraced by our school and we’ve used this as a platform to launch some wonderful partnerships within our local community.
