Chris White re-elected as Leader of St Albans City and District Council
Councillor Chris White has been re-elected as Leader of St Albans City and District Council.
Cllr White, who was first elected to the post in 2019, was voted Leader at the Annual Meeting of Council on Wednesday 24 May following the Thursday 4 May elections.
He will also Chair two of the four service and scrutiny committees: Strategy and Resources; and Planning Policy and Climate.
In addition, he will be the Lead Councillor for a number of strategic and planning policy issues which can be viewed in a responsibilities grid covering the leadership team.
The other Lead Councillors are:
Cllr Helen Campbell - Deputy Leader, Chair of the Public Realm Committee and Lead for Public Realm Delivery.
Cllr Jacqui Taylor - Chair of the Housing and Inclusion Committee and Lead for Housing and Community Safety.
Cllr Paul De Kort - Vice Chair of the Strategy and Resources Committee and Lead for Resources.
Cllr Lynn Cunningham - Vice Chair of the Public Realm Committee and Lead for Heritage and Waste.
Cllr Sarwar Shamsher - Vice Chair of the Housing and Inclusion Committee and Lead for Equality and Inclusion.
Cllr Raj Visram – Vice Chair of the Planning Policy and Climate Committee and Lead for Climate.
