We make every effort to ensure our services are accessible to all our customers. Some of the steps taken to improve accessibility include:

    • Literature and information available in Braille and languages other than English
    • Accessible buildings and reception areas
    • Interpretation and sign language services available

DisabledGo St Albans is an in-depth disabled access guide - an excellent resource providing free detailed information for people with a range of disabilities. For more information please follow the link at the bottom of the page.

    Infra-red hearing system

There is an infra-red hearing system in place for meetings in the Council Chamber and Committee Rooms.  Advice on the use of the system will be provided at the meeting by a Democratic Services Officer, who will be wearing a name badge.

Customers who use Textphone or Minicom should dial 18001 in front of any of our full telephone numbers to access Council services via British Telecom Text Relay service.
