Applications, decisions and appeals

Planning applications, tree works applications and decisions - weekly lists

Every Monday the Council publishes a list of planning and tree works applications registered and determined during the previous week. Published at the top of each weekly list is the deadline date for the call-in period for an application to be called in to Committee. For details on the call-in procedure, please see Planning Committee Meetings. Technical Applications are normally decided under delegated powers.

Planning appeals

For information on the appeals process, please see the Planning Portal's guidance on appeals.  For Householder appeals see the Planning Inspectorate's Guidance on Householder Appeals.  To find out the current average timescales for appeals, please see the latest statistics. As soon as we receive the Appeal Decision from the Inspectorate, it will be published on our website and can be viewed using our Planning Applications Search facility by entering the original planning application reference number.

Please note:

If you have commented on a HOUSEHOLDER or Minor Commercial planning application, which has subsequently been appealed, you will NOT have any further opportunity to comment on that application. Any comments you submitted on the original application will however be forwarded to the Planning Inspectorate. This is a national system introduced by the Planning Inspectorate in April 2009.

For all other applications, comments on appeals must be sent directly to the Planning Inspectorate (www.planning-inspectorate.gov.uk).
