The theme of this year’s conference was the Changing Shape of Services in the District. Attendees heard from a number of speakers on:
• Changes planned to Council services including more digital services and the new Commercial and Development department
• ‘Social prescribing’* and the pilot project being set up by the Citizens Advice Bureau
• The changes being made at Oaklands College, including responding to the national expansion of apprenticeships, and
• The provision of cultural services including the new Museum and Gallery All local organisations in the District are welcome to attend the conference.
*Providing non-medical options in support of local communities to improve mental health and wellbeing.
