Health and Wellbeing Partnership An introduction to the Health and Wellbeing Partnership Task and Finish Group

What is the Task and Finish Group?

For 2016/17 the Health and Wellbeing Partnership has one Task and Finish Group. It reports directly to the Partnership regarding funding decisions and the progress of health and wellbeing projects.

The Task & Finish Group focuses on the following public health priorities :
  • Increasing physical activity and promoting a healthy weight
  • Improving mental health and emotional wellbeing
  • Reducing the harm caused by alcohol

When do they meet?

The Task and Finish Group meets every quarter to provide oversight and management of the funding, development and delivery of projects and campaigns.

Who attends the meetings?

The Health and Wellbeing Task and Finish Group is made up of relevant stakeholders including Councillors, Herts Valleys CCGs, the CVS, patient representatives and local charities and organisations.

Herts Valleys CCG is the Clinical Commissioning Group for West Hertfordshire – the boroughs of Hertsmere, Dacorum, St Albans, Three Rivers and Watford. Their role is to plan and commission high quality health services on behalf of the people who live in this area. Having them on the Task and Finish Groups is valuable for the development of projects.

Conflicts of interest are always declared, and no funding decision is made when the stakeholder concerned is present.

What gets funded and how do I apply?
